Literature Text
The female of the species,
The supposed fairer sex,
Don't you dare to cross them,
You wouldn't like them vexed.
They nurture us from birth,
Teach us right from wrong,
Wrap us up in cotton wool,
Cuddle us in arms so strong.
They make our meals and clothe us,
Encourage us to grow,
Take care of us when we fall sick,
Everything they seem to know.
But if you step out of line,
Its not the Father you dread,
The biggest scolding you recieve,
Is from your Mother instead.
As you grow and find your own,
It soon becomes apparent,
That all the teachings you have learned,
Where instructions from a parent.
These rules were set in stone,
From one generation to another,
That men should be aware,
What daughters learned from Mother.

One More Mistake.
With every word that I say
With every smile I fake
Every moment I live
I'm making one more mistake...
All the tears that I've cried
Have fallen unnoticed
No matter how hard I try
Nobody will know this...
Every friend that I've made
Everything I create
With every door that I open
I'm making one more mistake...
I hate what I've done
And this person that I've become
I hate these scars on my wrist
Is there no ending to this...?
With every beat of my heart
With every breath that I take
Every day I wake up
Is just another mistake...

You Destroyed Me
I wish you understood,
that you were my friend
But you found so many ways,
to rip my heart into pieces..
You used to be there,
you always helped me stand tall.
But now I see that these were lies,
you never cared about me at all...
I thought of you as a friend,
but your just like everyone else.
Now just leave me alone in this world,
and watch me suffer into the night.
I lost so many people,
I am better off alone.
You were my friend,
but you destroyed the only thing that mattered.
You destroyed my trust,
you destroyed my life.
so leave me the hell alone,
and watch me suffer in this world alone..

Cutting
She presses her lips tightly together ;
Closes her eyes , it's hard to remember ;
The day when they each said
The word " forever . "
Seems like a thousand years ago ,
When everything was fine -
We were on top of the world , but
It isn't all that easy this time .
I watch the world ,
I scrutinize ;
So hard to imagine
What life looks like
Through those worn - out eyes .
Every slice , each loss of blood
It hurts us all ; we've both had enough
Every cut , it burns us too
Like a knife , it runs us through
Shes weak;
Feels high every time she moves
Its unhealthy
That , she has proved .
She's compelled to let go

I love this poem and all its brutal honesty.
